Εκείνη την Πέμπτη 24 Οκτώβρη 776 είχα βγει μετά το δείπνο για ένα περίπατο στα βουλεβάρτα, φτάνοντας ως την οδό Σεμέν-Βερ, που την ακολούθησα μέχρι τα ύψη του Μενιλμοντάν. Μετά παίρνοντας τα μονοπάτι ανάμεσα σε αμπελώνες και βοσκότοπους διάσχισα τα χαριτωμένα πλατώματα της εξοχής που χωρίζε το Μενιλμοντάν από τη Σαρόν.
